How to Earn Money in Mylot

How you can become one of the hundred dollar per month earners and not one of the people that don’t earn much at all.

Post Quality Discussions
This was the main purpose of myLot to begin with. Since myLot pays more for the discussions that get more responses and attention, it is important to keep your discussions as high-quality as you can on topics that people are more likely to respond to. Don’t post long and elaborate discussions if you don’t have to. People are less likely to read something much longer than a couple of paragraphs, and you don’t earn as much unless you have people respond to it, so make your discussions short and to the point. A paragraph or two is enough.

MyLot doesn’t want polls on if people like chocolate or not or what color the sky is, nor do they want “Yes” or “No” responses. They want to see substance. The poor discussions will not earn very much, if they don’t get deleted first, plus the discussions that are not of high quality are essentially stealing potential money from you, which moves us to the next idea.

Report Discussions
You don’t want to report every discussion that isn’t your own, that will probably just get you banned from using the site, but if you see a discussion that is breaking one of the guidelines, then you should report it right away. If the myLot staff don’t see the post in time, the person that posted it made money off of it, money that probably should have gone to you, so reporting inappropriate discussions not only helps you with your earnings, but it will also help the entire myLot community.

Rate Discussions
The Discussion Rating System, DRS, is what determines what content is useful and what is not, and it has a direct impact on the earnings of the discussion. It is not based on a single user’s rating, but on the rating of the community in general. This can also help you increase your star rating, which shows how favorable you are among the rest of the members of the site.

Tag Discussions
You should also make sure to tag discussions, especially your own, so that other people can find them. Starting discussions from your interests categories and tagging them will get more publicity and responses than if you started a discussion without a category with no tags in hopes of people finding it. Chances are, they won’t.

Search Before you Post
There is nothing more annoying than someone copying someone else’s discussion, whether intentionally or not, and have their discussion get more attention than the original poster. No one likes it when their discussions are stolen, so you shouldn’t steal them. It’s that simple. Also make sure you read all, or at least most, of the responses to a discussion before you, yourself, respond. It is pointless to say something that someone else has already said, and it may be considered as spam by myLot staff.

Get Referrals
This is probably the biggest earner in the whole myLot system. For each member you refer to the site, you get a bonus equal to 25% of their earnings. There are some members on myLot that earn a lot of money without even touching the site because they have been so active in getting referrals. Some members have over 1000 people that are earning them money! It’s a great way to get a passive income. You can promote your special referral link on your blogs, websites, in emails you send to people, just no spamming allowed.

Once your referrals sign up, request to be their friend and get updates on new discussions they have posted. The reason for this is that you will not only earn from their discussion, but you will earn from your response, and you will probably attract other responses, thus upping the value of the discussion and earning you even more.
